Explanation
of Costs

We
understand cost is perhaps one of the more important funeral-related topics
for most consumers. To begin to understand the basis for our fees, it
is best if we address general cost guidelines and the requirements placed
upon funeral homes and the direct relationship it has to costs.
General
Guidelines
Funeral
costs are determined by a variety of factors, including the type of service
and merchandise selected. Other elements can affect the final cost to
the family such as Outside Expenses.
Most
funerals will include a fee for our professional services. Our service
fees may include preparations of the body; use of facilities, equipment
and staff for visitation and funeral; motor equipment and other services.
The costs for merchandise will be determined by those items selected by
the family as they coordinate their selections to meet the needs of the
type of service chosen and for those that may be necessary by any law,
cemetery regulation or crematory requirement. Merchandise costs may include
a casket; an outer burial container; printed materials; clothing or other
merchandise.
Outside
Expenses are charges typically part of the overall cost of a funeral but
are incurred by third-party sources and not by the funeral home. These
charges can include cemetery charges, crematory charges, other transportation,
honoraria, flowers, obituaries, certified copies of death certificate,
and other expenses.
Due
to the wide variety of service possibilities and the specific needs of
each family, it would be impractical for us to list here every conceivable
service and product we offer. However, if you are interested in leaning
