I was saddened to hear of Don's death and the loss to his family, but I rejoice that he is reaping the reward of his faith in the Lord Jesus, now fully experiencing God and reunited with his beloved Betty. I knew Don many years ago while serving at Luther Manor Nursing Home and he impressed me tremendously by his faithful daily visits and loving attention to his mother Lillian. Our paths crossed again when my wife and I were daily visiting my own mother in a care facility and Betty entered that same facility. Don was there every day, lovingly attentive and steadfastly devoted to Betty. The values of uncompromising commitment and unwavering faithfulness were at the core of his being - such an inspiring individual! May God comfort your hearts with happy memories.

Dear Diann, Sharon and Brian - what a wonderful father you had. I was privileged to have him as my godparent. Kindness and laughter are my memories of him. Sitting under that big oak tree in my grandparents (Art and Helen Weiss) backyard with so many funny stories being told. Praying comfort for all of you. Kay (Fanger) Hoeferkamp

Sharon and Diane I am so sorry I missed this last week. I wish I had been there to pay my respects to this dear mam and both of you. I think you know how special he was to me, but I want to say again how much he touched my life and heart. I had many special patients over the years, but Don was the only one who really knew me and we had real, honest conversations. He was kind, faithful and so loving to all. He loved his Lord and lived his faith every day. Well done good and faithful servant. yellow_heartpray

Sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was a wonderful man. My father (Rollie) really enjoyed his friendship. Don will be missed.
