BARBARA FAY BACON Bridgeport Twp., Michigan Barb passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, while a resident at St. Francis Home in Thomas Twp, Michigan, at the age of 78 years. Barbara Fay Bacon was born on October 13, 1944, in Alma, Michigan, to the late Maurice and Reta (Hoornstra) Bacon. Barb is survived by her daughter, Greta (Michael) Andaluz, Pontiac, MI; her sisters, Charlene (Alonza) Colvin, Saginaw, MI, Priscilla (Tim) Thompson, Breckenridge, MI; her brother, Leland Bacon, Parsons, TN; her niece, Elizabeth (Herbert) Buckley and family, Romulus, MI; Mrs. Judy Webb and family, Saginaw, MI; nephews, Jimmie Colvin of California, and Mark Colvin of Virginia. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her faithful friends, Linda Aloyo, Megan Mason and family, and Dr. Keith and Sharon Harris. Besides her parents, Barb was also predeceased by her twin infant sisters, Joyce and Janice Bacon. Barb was a graduate from Alma College, having received her bachelor’s degree in secondary education. Prior to her retirement, Barb was employed by the State of Michigan and Independent Medical Network as a social worker. She was devoted to her two cats, Tizzy and Pretty Boy. She was an avid reader and volunteered at First Assembly Church for many years, as well as other agencies. She received The President’s Volunteer Service Award for her work. Funeral and Committal services will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2023, at Cornerstone Christian Center, 6674 Junction Road, Bridgeport, MI. Pastor Kim J. Frank will officiate. Private burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Alma, MI. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
