Mrs. Joyce J. Krogman

MRS. JOYCE J. KROGMAN SWAN CREEK TWP., SAGINAW, MI Loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Covenant Hospital, at the age of 83 years. Joyce (Clauss) Krogman was born on May 2, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Adam Clauss, Jr. and Anna Margaret (Weigandt) Clauss. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1959. Joyce was married to Norman A. Krogman on March 22, 1969, in Saginaw, Michigan. After 53 years of marriage, Norm predeceased her on May 6, 2022. She is survived by her children, Todd Clauss and Brenda (Jeff) Crook; and her grandchildren; Adam Clauss, Larissa Crook, and Jacob Crook. She is also survived by her In-laws, Robert (Marilyn) Krogman, James (Phil-Anne) Krogman, Debra Engers, Barbara (Hassan) Movahhed, John (Patricia) Krogman, along with God Daughter Kelly Schomaker and many special nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces, extended family, her caregiver, bible study group, and dear friends. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Anna Clauss, Jr., siblings; Edward (Barb) Clauss, Adam (Mary) Clauss, Henry (Barb) Clauss, and Minnie (Leo) Smith. Her In-laws, Howard and Mary Krogman, sister-in-law, Karen (Krogman) Weadock, and brother-in-law, Egon Engers. Prior to her retirement in 1995, Joyce worked in financial accounting at General Motors for 34 years. She was a member of the Merry Wives and Salaried Women’s Club. One of Joyce’s favorite hobbies was bowling. She was past President and Vice President of the Saginaw Women’s Bowling League and was inducted into the Saginaw Bowling Hall of Fame in 2010. She was also a delegate to the state and national tournaments. Joyce was a woman of faith and a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Shields. Joyce enjoyed nothing more than when she attended her grandchildren’s sporting events. She also enjoyed her many winters being a snowbird in Gulf Shores, Alabama, her time camping with family, reading, and listening to her favorite Elvis music. Joyce always looked forward to the time she spent with her lifelong friends Nancy Brasseur and Barb Long. The Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2565 Miller Road in Thomas Twp. The Rev. Kirk Abatelli will officiate. Joyce will then be laid to rest, next to her Norm, in Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw Twp., MI. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Monday, August 12 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., then on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mark Lutheran Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
