Doris J. Dudek Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Doris J. Dudek Gaylord, Michigan Doris passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the Medilodge of Gaylord, at the age of 95 years. Doris June Carpenter was born on February 23, 1926, in Evart, Michigan. She was adopted by the late Bacil and Jean (Simons) Carpenter. She was first married to Donald Henry Smith, he predeceased her on December 3, 1958, she then was married to Cassimer Dudek and he predeceased her February, 1997. Doris is survived by her son, Marvin H. (Vicki) Smith; her niece, Nancy Carpenter; her grandkids, Donald G. (Cheryl) Smith, Patrish D. (Steve) Barrick, Kelly (Blake) Hunt, Stephanie (Aaron) Prout, Johnathon (Paulette) Hall, Jill Dudek Ramirez and Matthew Dudek; her great-grandkids, Landen Kemp, Shayne Kemp, Tara Hall, Ethan Hall, Haylee Hunt, Madyson Prout, Kendall Prout, Margaret Hall and Lydia Hall. Doris was predeceased by her biological parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bancroft; her adoptive parents, Bacil and Jean Carpenter; her brothers, Ray Bancroft, Chuck Dyer, Carl Reid, Don Carpenter, her first husband, Donald H. Smith; her second husband, Cassimer Dudek and her daughter, Brenda S. Hall. Doris was a homemaker, lunch lady, and a regular volunteer at her local churches. Doris enjoyed baking, gardening and loved the smell of fresh cut flowers, most of all she loved her family. The family is planning a funeral service for Doris at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the Wakeman Funeral Home, 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI. Pastor James F. Krueger will officiate, along with her committal held in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service.
