Toth, Mrs. Florence E. Orange Park, FL Former resident of Saginaw, Florence passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, in Orange Park, FL. She was born on March 11, 1924, in Saginaw, to the late Morris B. and Mary M. (Dittmar) Snyder. In 1946, she was married to Charles Toth, Jr. in Saginaw, where he predeceased her on September 24, 1981. Florence had served her country in the U. S. Army during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. Prior to her retirement, Florence was the owner, manager and operator of the Foster Care Home, where she had lovingly cared for 28 children. Florence is survived by four children, Sharon Holmes, Michael J. Toth, Mary Jo Beebe, Terry Metzger; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Florence was predeceased by her parents, husband, grandsons, Robert Joseph Gaertner Jr., Paul “Beaver” Christian, great-grandson, Christopher “Beaver” Moore, and her brothers, Robert and Lloyd Snyder. Cremation has taken place. A private family committal will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Saginaw at a later date.
