Mr. Harold R. Sebald Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Harold R. Sebald Saginaw Twp., Michigan Harold was called home to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from Covenant Medical Center-Cooper. He was 93 years old. Harold Richard Sebald was born on March 31, 1929, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Leonard and Wilhelmina (Knorr) Sebald. Harold married Barbara Ann (Radewahn) Sebald on August 25, 1951, in Saginaw, MI, and after 67 years of marriage, Barb was also called home to her Lord on June 5, 2018. Harold served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharge as a machinist mate 2nd class in 1957. Prior to his retirement, Harold owned and operated Sebald’s Bakery for 63 years. He also was a Saginaw Township volunteer fireman for 25 years. Harold was a faithful member of Holy Cross Ev. Lutheran Church, where he had served as an usher for 68 years. Harold’s memberships include American Legion Post #439 and the L.F.A. Surviving are his children, David (Joan) Sebald, Ft. Collins, CO; Lynn (Skip) Frimberger, West Branch, MI, Daniel (Sheila) Sebald, Saginaw, MI; three grandchildren, Mike (Andrea) Sebald, Ft. Collins, CO, Kaylin (Travis) Tuttle, Battle Creek, MI, Matt Sebald, Saginaw, MI; two great-grandchildren, Rilee Rae Tuttle and Grayson Sebald; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Linda) Sebald, Frankenmuth, MI; sisters-in-law, Ellen Tjernagel and Lorraine Radewahn; several nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Harold was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Jill Sebald, his granddaughter, Kelly Sebald, his brother and sister-in-law, Erwin and Carolyn Sebald, his in-laws, Harold Radewahn, Clarence (Gladys) Radewahn and Allen Tjernagel. The Celebration of Harold’s Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Holy Cross Ev. Lutheran Church, 600 Court St., Saginaw, MI. The Rev. James F. Krueger will officiate. Private family burial will follow at a later date in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #439 and the United States Navy. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI, on Friday, June 10th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., then at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Harold’s service. Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Cross Ev. Lutheran Church and School.
