Mrs. Joyce L. Bartholomew Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Joyce L. Bartholomew Birch Run, Michigan Joyce was called home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the age of 91 years. Mrs. Joyce L. (Savage) Bartholomew was born on May 25, 1930, in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to H. Kenneth Bartholomew, Jr. on April 18, 1953. Having celebrated 66 years of marriage, Ken predeceased her on July 7, 2019. Prior to her retirement, Joyce was employed with Ma-Bell as an operator and service assistant for 30 years. Joyce proudly served in The Saginaw County Republican Women’s Club for the Republican Women’s Federation of Michigan. Joyce was recognized for her contribution to political education as Legislative Chair of her Club and for her life-long dedication to the American ideal of informed, involved citizenship. The Saginaw County Republican Women’s Club is an affiliate of the Republican Women’s Federation of Michigan and an affiliate of the National Federation of Republican Women. Joyce was a member of Immanuel Bible Church. Joyce’s hobbies and pass-times included gardening and patriotism through her encouraging involvement of Republican women in the cause of good government and to promote political education and awareness through their programs and activities. Most importantly, Joyce loved sharing Jesus with everyone, with hopes to see you in Heaven. Joyce is survived by her children, Dennis (Carol) Dashkovitz, Heidi Ann (Mark) Bucholz, Amy Sue (Tyrone) Clarence; her grandchildren, Sara Baldez, Laura Elizabeth Bucholz, Kenny Mark Bucholz, and Megan Leigh Bucholz; great grandchildren, Michael and Mason Dashkovitz; her siblings, Judy Stoneburner, Ellen McNair, Wendy (Ron) Carpenter and Rodney (Mary) Guttowsky; her in-laws, David (Rachel) Bartholomew, Boots Bartholomew; many nieces, nephews, extended family and her dear church family. Joyce was also predeceased by her sister, Janet Lee; her brothers, Pat Savage and Gene Guttowsky; her grandson Joshua Dashkovitz; her in-laws, Philip and Paul Bartholomew. The Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the Immanuel Bible Church, 5433 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, Michigan, in Kochville Township. Pastor Mark Hazen will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service. Joyce’s committal will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
