Lee E. Winterstein Saginaw, Michigan Lee was called home to his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the age of 89 years. He was born on November 16, 1932, in Saginaw, to the late W. J. and Emma (Ortner) Winterstein. Lee was first married to Carol (Wagonseller) Winterstein, and she predeceased him on December 6, 2008, he then was married to Dorothy [Dolly] (Strigle) Winterstein on June 22, 2013, and she survives him. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Janice and James Meyer; his niece, Jennifer Meyer (McCann); extended family members and dear friends. Lee was also predeceased by his nephew, James Meyer. Prior to his retirement, Lee was owner and operator of two businesses, The Automat and The Party Store in Frankenmuth and Saginaw. He was a charter member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and was the camera operator for the church services. Lee volunteered for the Lutheran Hour Ministries and was a Thrivent Financial coordinator. His hobbies included collecting coins, baseball cards and ceramics. In accordance with Lee’s wishes, cremation will take place. The Celebration of Lee’s Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2022, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2565 N. Miller Rd., Thomas Twp., Saginaw, Michigan. Pastor Kirk Abatelli will officiate. Lee will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mark Lutheran Church (Camera Fund) or (Phase 3) or to The Lutheran Hour, in memory of Lee.
