Peitsch, Lois E., Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 87 years. Lois Elaine Jutzi was born on July 29, 1928, in Saginaw to the late Edward and Gertrude (Nowack) Jutzi. She married Edward J. Peitsch on November 12, 1949, in Saginaw. She worked at Standard Oil, Baker Perkins, in adult education, a teacher’s aide and at McDonald’s. She volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, Bethlehem Hot Lunch program, Cub Scout Den Mother, made quilts, choir robes, and costumes for the Boars Head Festival. She was a member of The American Guild of English Handbell Ringers. Surviving besides her husband, Edward, are their six children and their spouses, Michael (Georgia) Peitsch, Manistique, MI; Thomas (Florence) Peitsch, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia; Andrew (Betty) Peitsch, Royal Oak, MI; Peter (Clare) Peitsch, Elkhart Lake, WI; Johanna (Thomas) Belinski, Romeoville, IL; and Timothy (Kathy) Peitsch, Clinton, WA; 24 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward (Kathy) Jutzi, Jr., Houston, TX and Eugene (Mary) Jutzi, Rogers City, MI; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Gertrude Sturm and Dorothy Jutzi. Memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss St. The Reverends Charles F. Buckhahn and Michael R. Korte will officiate. Private burial will be held later in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
