    August 30, 1939 - December 11, 2021

    Marilyn A. Schaaf Saginaw, Michigan Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Ascension Saint Mary’s Hospital, at the age of 82 years. Marilyn Ann (Steinbeck) Schaaf was born on August 30, 1939, in Hancock, Michigan, to the late Peter and Cecelia (Beiring) Steinbeck. Marilyn is survived by her sons, Ron (Cheryl) Schaaf, Jr., White Pine, MI, Tom Schaaf, Saginaw, MI, Gerry Schaaf, Saginaw, MI, Larry (Dana) Schaaf, Saginaw, MI; and her grandchildren, Mandy (Schaaf) Koehler and her husband David, Amy Bishop, Sarah (Bishop) Charbonneau and her wife Nikki, Hope (Bishop) Pierce and her husband Anthony, Ryan Bishop, Chad Bishop, Jeremy Ross and his wife Courtney, Kristen Ross, Adam Schaaf and his wife Alyssa, Michael Schaaf and his wife Casey, Allison Schaaf; her great-grandchildren, Nick Ross, Chelsea Ross, Dustin Davis, McKenna Ross, Jaycie Booth, Jordan Booth, Jayden Booth and Chandler Schaaf; several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Patti (Schaaf) Bishop, her granddaughter, Jessica Bishop and her grandson, Tony Ross, her sister, Charlotte Neihardt and most recently, her son, Bob Schaaf. Prior to her retirement, Marilyn was the office manager for Muehlenbeck Distributing for 34 years. Her pastimes and hobbies included making pasties, she loved playing bingo and going to the casino and especially spending time with her family. In accordance with family wishes, cremation will take place. The Celebration of Life for Marilyn will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 1610 S. Reese Road, Reese, Michigan 48757. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions directed to her son, Gerald's [email protected] to help with expenses.
