Marjorie Grace Sanburn Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

MARJORIE G. SANBURN Saginaw, Michigan Marjorie passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Bickford Senior Living, at the age of 95 years. Marjorie Grace (Dusek) Sanburn was born on February 27, 1926, in Saginaw, to the late Charles and Minnie (Schallhorn) Dusek. She was married to Edward Sanburn on May 31, 1947, in Saginaw, and he predeceased her in 1973. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Bay City Country Club as the head-waitress for 10 years, then retiring, after another 10 years as a desk clerk at the Red Roof Inn. She enjoyed watching and listening to sporting events, walking and for three years she volunteered at (Martin Luther Home) Saginaw Senior Care & Rehab Center. Marjorie was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church on Brockway in Saginaw Township. Surviving are her son and his wife, Kurt (Sandra) Sanburn; her granddaughter, Raine; and her sister-in-law, Rosemary Sanburn; also, several other nieces, nephews, and friends. In accordance with Marjorie’s wishes, cremation will take place. The Celebration of Marjorie's Life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 4705 Brockway Rd., Saginaw Township. Pastor Andy Retberg will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be given to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church or to the Humane Society of Saginaw County.
