Favara, Mr. Peter C. Midland, Michigan Peter Charles Favara passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, while in the care of Olson Manor, Midland, Michigan. Peter was born on May 1, 1929, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Dominic and Euphemia (Trentacoste) Favara. Peter was married to Maxine (Zaleski) Favara on September 9, 1950. She predeceased him as did nine of his brothers and sisters, his daughter-in-law, Karen; and his son-in-law, Tony. Peter is survived by his children, Susan Meloche, Nancy (Larry) Brooks, Dominic Favara, Charles (Sharon) Favara and John (Diane) Favara; his grandchildren, Paul, Steve, Sarah, Dana, Matt, Justin and Amy; his step-grandson, Bruce; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Rosalie; and his special friend, Sherry and her children and grandchildren. Prior to his retirement, Peter drove a truck for the Walter P. Davis Company, worked as a meat cutter at Kroger, was a store manager for several of the Vescio’s stores in the Saginaw area, and helped at Waltrus Market. His skills as a butcher were often used to help relatives and neighbors who were lucky enough to bag a deer. Peter loved music and sang all the time. “It Was A Very Good Year”, was one of his favorites. He was bitten by the acting bug in high school and became known for his portrayal of “Scrooge” in St. Joseph’s production of “A Christmas Carol”. In accordance with Peter’s wishes, cremation will take place. The family will plan a memorial service at a later date.
