Mr. Ralph R. Robinson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robinson, Ralph R., of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Covenant Medical Center-Cooper, 3-East. Age 90 years. Ralph was born on Jan. 28, 1920, in Carrollton Twp. to the late George and Elsie (Schatz) Robinson. He married Bertha (Pat) Ganschow on August 22, 1953. She predeceased him on October 24, 1988. Ralph served in the U.S. Army, in the European Theatre, during WWII. Prior to his retirement on January 1, 1976, Ralph had worked in inspection at Grey Iron Foundry for 30 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and was a member or the N.R.A. Surviving are his step-son, Ernest J. (Elaine) Piehl; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Beverly Robinson and June Falkenberg; God-children, Sally Wolfe and Maryann Wagner, also survived by Bill (Dorothy) Falkenberg and Jack (Christine) Falkenberg; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2010, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss. The Rev. Michael R. Korte will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, where military honor guard will be conducted under the auspices of American Legion Post #439. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave. on Sunday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm., then at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
