Thomas Roy Sowulewski St. Helen, Michigan Tom passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at his daughter’s home in Lapeer, Michigan, at the age of 67 years. Thomas Roy Sowulewski was born on November 4, 1954, in Saginaw, to the late Joseph Roy Sowulewski, Jr. and Elizabeth H. (Bailey) Sowulewski. Tom is survived by his daughter and her husband, Christina M. and Todd N. Cole; his brother, Michael Sowulewski; grandchildren, Marcus, Ashlee, Chloe, Joshua (Emily); great-grandchildren, Lilly and Madyson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends. Prior to his retirement, Tom served in the United States Coast Guard and was honorably discharged as a MKC (E-7) on April 20, 1983. Tom’s memberships included, Chief Petty Officers Association, ACA Adaptive Paddling, National Boaters Safety Council. Tom loved spending time outdoors, boating, kayaking, camping and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He loved telling stories about when he served on the USCGC Mackinaw, Vigorous and being a fireman on the Yocona. In accordance with Tom’s wishes, his family will have a private memorial, with Military Honors, conducted by the United States Coast Guard and American Legion Post #439, at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Blumfield Township, Saginaw, Michigan.
