Mrs. Arlene M. Puffpaff

Puffpaff, Mrs. Arlene M., Saginaw, Michigan Arlene was called home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Stone Crest Assisted Living in Freeland surrounded by her family. Age 90 years. Arlene M. Simon was born on May 19, 1927, in Saginaw, to the late John and Rose (Prenzler) Simon. She was married to Harold K. Puffpaff on January 22, 1949, in Saginaw. After 67 years of blessings, Harold went to be with his Lord on June 6, 2016. Prior to raising her family, Arlene was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone Co. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, having served in numerous ladies groups, attended Senior Saints, Evangelism, and Bible Study. She tutored children at Bethlehem Lutheran School for many years. Her passion was her family and spending time at Higgins Lake. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Dr. Steven (Kim) Puffpaff, Springfield, MO; Jan (Scott) Baird, Saginaw; Carol (Dave) Miller, Freeland; Kay (Dan) Denardo, Saginaw; Michael (Rachelle) Puffpaff, Saginaw; 11 grandchildren, Leah Wilson, Steve Puffpaff, Jr., Rachel Puffpaff, Amy LaFlure, Dr. Chris Archangeli, Amy Strahm, Amber Davis, Jason Miller, Danny Denardo, Mollie Puffpaff, and Andrew Puffpaff; 21 great-grandchildren; her brother, Dr. Jack Simon, Aiken, SC, her sister-in-law, Elaine Beckler-McKay, Mt. Vernon, WA; also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Rose Simon, her brother, Robert (Lois) Simon; four sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law, Ene Simon, Dorothy (Vernon) Neigh, Marvin (Helen) Puffpaff, Jean Puffpaff, Jack Beckler and Joe McKay; also her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otto and Clara Puffpaff. The family wishes to express their gratitude and thanks to Stone Crest Assisted Living for their loving and caring support for Arlene. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss, Saginaw. The Rev. Michael R. Korte will officiate with burial in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., then at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Valley Lutheran High School Foundation for the Harold and Arlene Puffpaff Scholarship Fund.
