Mrs. Janet M. Pacholke

Pacholke, Mrs. Janet M. Saginaw Twp., Michigan Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was called home to her Lord on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at her home, with her family at her side. She was 93 years young. Janet Mae (Schwalbe) Pacholke was born on December 27, 1926, in Stillwater, MN, to the late Edwin C. and Ruth J. (Clark) Schwalbe. She was married to Lyle Pacholke on September 6, 1952, and after 56 years of marriage, Lyle predeceased her on June 17, 2009. Janet loved farming, gardening, flowers, bowling, golfing, fishing, hunting; she was active in Shaklee for many years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she participated in many activities. She was also active in CanAmera Games for many years, playing horseshoes. She was a warrant officer in the Civil Air Patrol during WWII, also served as a survival / flight instructor and pilot. Janet was one of the first women to be a Cub Scout Den Master. She had a passion for making razelberry jam and dilly beans. Surviving are her four children and their spouses, Paula Pacholke-Dumont (Michel Dumont), of Whitmore Lake; Mark (Wendy) Pacholke, of Freeland; Susan Pacholke, of Saginaw; Matthew (Kerry) Pacholke, of Sanford; 10 grandchildren, Emilie and Andrew Dumont, Ashley and Natalie Pacholke, Brian (Sara) Fritch, Alan (Emma) Fritch, Daniel Fritch, Collin Fritch and his fiance' Jessica Tenut, and Katherine and Adam Pacholke; one great-grandson, Carson Fritch; also her extended family members and dear friends. Memorial contributions may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, St. Jude’s or the Saginaw Rescue Mission. Due to the current health situation and the "stay at home" order imposed by Michigan's Governor, there will not be a funeral service on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Instead, the family will be having a private committal at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Also, the family will be planning a memorial service for Janet at a later date, to be announced.
