Mrs. Joyclyn M. Senyko Saginaw Twp., Michigan Our beloved Joyclyn Marie (Mazany) Senyko, born May 26, 1941, was the daughter of the late Roman and Rose (Walat) Mazany, and was the eldest of their five siblings. On January 6, 2023, Joyce lay peacefully in her bed at St. Francis Home, in Shields, when the Lord called her. She departed this earthly life for her eternal home in Heaven at the age of 81. A graduate of Saginaw High School, Class of 1959, Joyce would eventually find her way working at Saginaw General Hospital as an Admitting Supervisor, where she remained until retirement and where she returned for volunteer work after retirement. In August of 1960, Joyce married Daniel F. Cox and they had two children together, Teresa and Linda. In November of 1963, Joyce lost both Daniel and Teresa in a carbon monoxide accident. Joyce and Linda had to take on the world together. Learning and experiencing so many things on their journey, Joyce was able to find the strength to put the pieces back together. She met and fell in love with a wonderful man and on December 11, 1970, she married John Senyko. Together, they had one son, Michael. John would adopt Linda and the four of them filled their lives with many wonderful friends, pets, travels, and happy memories. Over the years, John and Joyce traveled to five continents and many different countries. Joyce was predeceased by her sister, Cecilia Fallstick; her brothers, Douglas Mazany and Daniel Mazany; her daughter, Teresa Cox; her brothers-in-law, Pat Slominski and Edward Senyko; and her beloved cats, Sneakers and Max. Joyce is survived by her loving husband, John Senyko; her daughter, Linda Cox; her son and his wife, Michael and Kristen Senyko; granddaughters, Emma Senyko and Melissa Nordquist (partner C.J. and daughter Izalea); grandsons, Connor Senyko and Daniel Cox (fiancé Tina & girls); sister, Teresa Slominski; sisters-in-law, Jan Mazany, and Janet Senyko; brother-in-law, Ken Fallstick; cherished Florida friends, the Carney Family; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured friends. Friends are invited to join in the Celebration of Joyce’s life, which will be held at the Wakeman Funeral Home, located at 1218 N. Michigan Ave., in Saginaw. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. A visitation will precede the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Douglas Jackson will be officiating. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service at Community Baptist Church, located at 8331 Gratiot Rd, Saginaw. Joyce will be laid to rest in a private family burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, South Branch, MI.
