Young, Julie A. Birch Run, MI Julie Ann Young passed away on September 16, 2018, at Saint Mary’s of Michigan. Age 55 years. Julie was born on July 19, 1963, in Big Rapids, MI, to James H. and Connie K. (Meyer) Young. She attended Douglas MacArthur High School, graduating in 1982, she then attended Central Michigan University. Prior to her disability, Julie had worked as a supervisor in retail at Target. Julie enjoyed playing with her animals, doing crafts, gardening, camping, sitting on her deck enjoying the sunshine and watching her sunflowers grow. She especially loved her dogs, Jordan, Sadie, Annie, Gizmo and Lucky Kitty. Julie loved life, loved to have fun, and was a nurturing soul. Julie is survived by the love of her life, Terry Carleton, and her mother, Connie (Meyer) Young; her sisters Lori Young, Christine (Young) Roth, sister-in-law Jeanne (Carleton) Showalter, and brother-in-law Gregg Showalter; nieces and nephews Matthew Young, James Clemons II, Nikki Young, Jamie Lee Young, Joseph Roth, Daniel Roth, Kelly Near, Jeriann Showalter, Kristie Showalter, Braxton Darland, Colt Bennett and Tucker Anderson; her aunts and uncles Nan Wressell, William Meyer, Anne Luke, Linda Meyer Kelly, David and Cathy Young; her special cousins Jenni and Rodney Acker and her sister-in-heart, Cheri Ayayi. Julie was also predeceased by her father James H. Young, her brother Jamie Young and her mother-in-law, whom she loved very much, Cathy Carleton, aunt Patricia Meyer Gabriel, nephew Tony Near, uncles Eddie Young, Sandy Young and Robbie Young. In accordance with Julie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The Celebration of Julie’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. Julie’s remembrance service will begin at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in loving memory of Julie, may be considered to the Great Lakes Boxer Rescue, 1227 N.
