Mrs. Loretta K. Eickmeyer

Mrs. Loretta F. Eickmeyer Saginaw Twp., Michigan Loretta Fay (Spenner) Eickmeyer was a beloved grandmother, mother, and wife during her incredible 86 years of life. She was called to her Heavenly home on Thursday, October 20, 2022. We will remember Loretta for her loving nature, her playfulness, and her occasional, endearing stubbornness. Loretta had a long and full life. She was born on January 2, 1936, in Hoyelton, Illinois, to two loving parents, Gus and Regina (Kleiboeker) Spenner. Loretta had eleven siblings; (pre-deceased by) Bob Spenner, Vernon Spenner, Ralph Spenner, Roy Spenner, Maxine Spenner, Irene Fusselman, Dorothy Huge, Gertrude Holle; (survived by) Beulah Holle, Janet Klie and Judy Lawson. Loretta met her high school sweetheart, Kenneth F. Eickmeyer, while attending Nashville high school. They married June 17, 1956, in Hoyleton, Illinois, and welcomed their first set of twins the next year. After 48 years of marriage, Kenneth was called home February 3, 2004. Loretta is survived by her five children and their spouses; Don & Denise Eickmeyer, Dennis & Tammy Eickmeyer, Kevin & Denise Eickmeyer, Karen Zimmerman & Lori Reisig. 16 grandchildren; Jason, Corey, Tyler, Kelly, Heidi, Grant, Katie, Elliott, Sarah, Andrew, Joshua, Zachary, Alicia, Jennifer, Tiffany, April; and 30 great grandchildren. Loretta was generous with her time, her money and most importantly her heart. She regularly donated to St. Paul Lutheran Church and The Economy Center. We will miss Loretta dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with her. We will always feel her presence in our hearts. The Celebration of Loretta’s Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Frankenlust, 6100 West Side Saginaw Road, Bay City, Michigan. The Rev. Dennis Matyas will officiate. Loretta will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ken in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery – Frankenlust. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wakeman Funeral Home, 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral.
